
Program Overview
The Kids Woodworking Academy is a progressive, school-year-long program designed for children aged 10 and up.
It begins with a 10-week Foundations Term that introduces essential woodworking skills through hands-on practice, creative projects, and play-based learning.
Students who complete the Foundations Term may continue into Term 2 and Term 3, where they’ll explore advanced skills such as 3D design, sharpening, and safe power tool use.

What They Will Learn

✔ Understanding wood types: softwood, hardwood, manufactured
✔ Tool safety and proper use of clamps, hand saws, and planes
✔ Marking and measuring accurately

Academic Year Structure

Students may enroll in one term or continue across all three terms for a full academic year of progressive woodworking education.

Course Fee
Foundations Term (10 Weeks): AED 3,000
(That’s just AED 300 per session — for 1 hour and 45 minutes of immersive, skill-building education led by expert instructors).

Tool Kit Requirement
Each student is required to purchase a starter tool kit that remains theirs throughout the program and beyond.

Tool kits can be purchased directly from The Makers Society at the cost of AED279. Full details are provided upon registration.
