At The Makers Society, creating bespoke furniture in Dubai isn’t just about craftsmanship, it’s about connection.

Connection to material. To space. To story.

Our bespoke furniture team in Dubai is made up of designers, artisans, and creative thinkers who believe that furniture should be more than functional, it should reflect your lifestyle and values.

Whether it’s a custom dining table for your home or a one-of-a-kind reception desk for your business, every piece starts with a conversation and ends with a sense of pride.

When you commission a bespoke piece, you're not just buying furniture. You're joining a process, collaborative, intentional, and deeply human.

Meet the Makers Behind Every Piece

Our team of skilled makers in action—crafting one-of-a-kind furniture pieces in our Dubai workshop.

A successful bespoke project is never the result of just one person. It’s a team effort, where creativity meets carpentry, and vision meets technical skill.

Here’s a look behind the scenes at the people who bring your projects to life:

  • Luca – Creative Director & Design Consultant

As the founder of The Makers Society, Luca sets the vision and leads each project with a design-first approach. With a background in product design and a deep love for craftsmanship, Luca helps clients shape ideas into elegant, functional pieces. He’s the bridge between creativity and construction, ensuring every piece reflects the client’s story.

  • Eva – PR & Client Liaison Eva is often the first person you’ll speak to—and the one who ensures your voice is heard throughout the project. With a natural talent for listening and understanding what clients truly want, she guides every interaction with empathy and clarity. Eva is our ambassador for communication, making sure you feel supported, informed, and excited from start to finish.

  • Clinton – Lead Maker Clinton leads the workshop with a sharp eye and steady hand. Known for his precision and deep understanding of joinery, he transforms sketches into timeless pieces. Whether it’s a contemporary table or a vintage-inspired console, Clinton ensures each piece is crafted with integrity and lasting strength.

  • Olympio – Materials Specialist & Head of Operations Olympio is the backbone of our operations and the person who makes sure everything runs smoothly. From sourcing high-quality, sustainable wood to managing production timelines and logistics, he brings order to the creative process. He’s also the go-to expert when it comes to material performance and structural problem-solving—ensuring your piece is both beautiful and built to last.

  • Joel – Master Craftsman & Problem-Solver Joel is the kind of craftsman every workshop dreams of having. No matter how complex or unusual the request, he finds a way to make it work—with ingenuity, patience, and a deep respect for the material. From intricate inlays to curved joinery, Joel takes on the most challenging builds and executes them with confidence and care.

Most clients are surprised by how personal and enjoyable the process is. Here’s how it typically unfolds:

  1. Discovery Call or Visit: We start by understanding your space, your needs, and your style. You might visit our workshop or share a Pinterest board—either way, we’re listening.

  2. Concept & Sketches: Our designers translate your brief into sketches or digital renderings. You’ll be involved in shaping the direction every step of the way.

  3. Material Selection: You’ll walk through our curated selection of wood, plywood, and finishes in our Materials area. We’ll explain each option, including durability, tone, and origin.

  4. Build Phase: This is where the magic happens. Our team begins crafting your piece using time-honoured techniques and modern tools. You’re welcome to check in on progress or visit the workshop.

  5. Delivery & Aftercare: Once complete, we handle safe delivery and installation. You’ll also receive a guide on how to care for your bespoke piece so it lasts for generations.

Our materials don’t just look good—they serve a purpose. Like this serving board made for local cafés.

The materials we use are as important as the hands that shape them.

Our collection includes:

  • Solid wood (oak, walnut, ash, teak)

  • Birch and marine plywood

  • Reclaimed or locally sourced timber

  • Eco-friendly finishes and oils

We invite you to visit our Materials selection in person, where you can feel the textures, see the tones in natural light, and ask all the questions you need before making a decision.
